--I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT--

Blogger has decided to change everything to a less-easy-to-use system, which is going to take a while to get used to, so sorry for any weird formats which may appear. In the meantime...

I thought it would be interesting to analyse some studio shots. One of the main reasons I'm not so keen on studio editorials is that they're often so boringly static...

Sometimes the model decides to pluck bits of their clothing in order to mimic movement without actually having to make an effort...

And sometimes there's actual, interesting movement involved to bring the clothes and the shoot to life! That's not to say that 'still life' style shoots can't be beautiful (Irving Penn, anyone?), but personally I'm more of an Avedon girl.
