The first autumn photo post! (Note-usually I refuse to use the word 'fall', as it is utterly American and therefore wrong. Americans, I don't hate you, but English was from England originally and therefore our version is always correct. However, in this case it was useful for alliteration). One of the reasons I'm not so keen on autumn is because it heralds a move towards studio shoots rather than ones outside. Not that studio shoots can't be interesting, but their focus is always on the fashion by default-personally, photography is one of my favourite, if not the favourite, aspect of the fashion industry; it's how I first got interested in it, through Tim Walker and a certain copy of Vogue UK, which had 2 great shoots in it (here and here). So I always find summer shoots more interesting, as they take fashion out of the studio and into the real world, and therefore you're more likely to get great photographs as well as great clothes.
However, that's not to say that winter editorials lack creativity and amazingness in their own right! And as this winter sees my favourite season in fashion since ever (not that I've been following fashion for a massively long time...but even so!) I'm sure we've all got a lot to look forward to! (I feel a sideways smiley is almost a necessity here, but I refuse to succumb. Strength!). (I've recently realised that I use waay too many parentheses. Evidence of a scatterbrained mindset, I'm sure. Although I'm actually very organised...mostly!).
